The ILPS has developed a Lecithin Standards program to be used with the AM 101 on HPLC of Phospholipids. Standards are available from:

The Standards include a commercial soybean lecithin and certified pure PC (phosphatidylcholine). The mixed (commercial) standard will be shipped at no cost except for shipping and handling.

Often laboratories prefer to use their own lecithin standard. ILPS recommends contacting Avanti Polar Lipids or Spectral Service with the request to analyze your own lecithin standard with 31P-NMR analytical method.

The above pages contain figures showing fragments formed
by LC-MS, and extensive mass lists for most combinations of
fatty acids in the above lipid classes.
