Dear Mabel,
The news of your passing has traveled a long way from Argentina to us in Europe. Over many years, we had the privilege of meeting you on several continents, particularly at numerous AOCS meetings in the USA. You were our cherished and beloved guest in Germany and welcomed us multiple times as a wonderful host in Rosario, Argentina. Your role as a mediator between the international organizations ILPS, AOCS, and ASAGA was invaluable.
We will deeply miss your open nature and warm personality. Your dedication and warmth continually inspired and enriched us. You built bridges and created connections that went far beyond geographical boundaries. Your ability to bring people together and foster friendships was truly unique.
In our memories, you will always live on as a shining personality who left a lasting impression through your drive and kindness. Your contributions to the scientific community and your ability to overcome cultural barriers have enriched all our lives.
With deep gratitude,
Your friends and colleagues
