Dr. Tom Watkins and Dr. Michael Schneider organize annual meetings of ILSG. Scientific meetings of the ILSG were organized in Boston (USA), Venice (Italy), Nice (France) and Hamburg (Germany).

Symposium in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The 1st Lecithin & Phospholipid Symposium was held in conjunction with the Annual AOCS Meeting.

Colloquium in Hamburg, Germany. The 6th international Colloquium on Phospholipids was supported by the membership of the ILPS.
1994
Lecithin Short Course in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. In conjunction with the AOCS meeting.
1996
ILPS Congress in Brussels, Belgium (7th) The 7th ILPS international Congress on Phospholipids in Nutrition and Cell Signaling.
1998
ILPS Session in Chicago, Illinois, USA. The seminar "Phospholipids as Functional Food Ingredients" was organized and chaired.
1999
ILPS Lecithin Seminar in Paris, France at the Food Ingredients Exhibition. In co-operation with the World Food Summit Conference Committee.
2000
ILPS Session in Dallas, Texas, USA. The session "Liposomes for food systems" was organized and chaired.
1993
Colloquium in Hamburg, Germany. The 6th international Colloquium on Phospholipids was supported by the membership of the ILPS.
2002
ILPS Congress in Vienna, Austria (8th). The 8th International ILPS Congress on Phospholipids in co-operation with the University of Vienna and the Austrian Medical Academy for Nutrition.
2002
ILPS Session in Anaheim, California, USA at the IFT (Institute of Food Technologists) Annual Meeting and Expo 2002. The session "Enzymes in Foods 2020” was organized and chaired.
2005
Short Course in Ghent University (Ghent, Belgium), with demonstrations in the laboratories of the food department. The best poster award was given to Mrs. Annet Knoth of the Friederich Schiller University, Jena, Germany for her poster “Stability of phospholipids-containing water-in-oil emulsions”.
2006
ILPS Congressein Pécs, Hungary (9th) The ILPS Congress on Phospholipids for Health with the 49th International Conference on Bioscience of Lipids and the Hungarian Academy of Science. Four sessions were devoted to Sphingolipids, Marine Phospholipids, Phosphatidylserine and Brain function of lipids.
2007
Scientific Short Course in Laval University (Quebec City, Quebec, Canada). A Lecithin Short Course on Lecithin Properties and Technological Functions. Organized by AOCS and the Institute of Neutraceuticals and Functional Foods (INAF) in cooperation with AOCS a Lecithin SC with lab demonstrations was held (prior to the AOCS Annual Meeting).
2008
Short Course in Ghent University (Ghent, Belgium), with demonstrations in the laboratories of the food department.
2010
Short Course in Ghent University (Ghent, Belgium), with demonstrations in the laboratories of the food department. 3rd ILPS Lecithin Short Course with oral presentations and visits to the Cocoa and Rheology Laboratories.
2011
ILPS Congress in Rotterdam, The Netherlands (10th). 10th ILPS Phospholipid Congress “Phospholipids – Sources, Processing and Application”. The congress started with a visit to Unilever Research Center Vlaardingen with presentations and pilot plant demonstrations, followed by 3 scientific sessions. Organized as satellite event prior to the Euro Fed Lipid Congress.

Creation of “Willem van Nieuwenhuyzen Award” in memory of the ILPS co-founder and long-time ILPS Executive Director.

Phospholipid Conference at the Kuban State University of Krasnodar in Krasnodar, Russia. It was organized in cooperation between ILPS and Protein Plus from St. Petersburg.

Scientific Symposium in Cologne, Germany. The symposium was divided in 3 scientific sessions and ended with a visit to the laboratory of Spectral Service.
2019
16th International Scientific and Pratical Conference in St. Petersburg, Russia. It was supported by Federal Research Center of Nutrition and Biotechnology (Moscow); Russian Union of Food Ingredients Producers Union (UFIPU) (Moscow) and Kuban State Technological University (Krasnodar).
